 In May 2004, M!ndMeta was engaged to conduct market research into coffee in China for an Australian company. The objective of the market research was to identify opportunities from a timing, geographic and viability perspective bearing in mind that there were already many other coffee brands in China.The engagement required that we travelled to Beijing and Shanghai, as well as a number of regional centres conducting on the ground coffee sampling as well as making use of our network to identify locations; coffee pricing at both wholesale and retail; and building a strategic plan for initial entry. |
