Coffee in China
ImageIn May 2004, M!ndMeta was engaged to conduct market research into coffee in China for an Australian company. The objective of the market research was to identify opportunities from a timing, geographic and viability perspective  bearing in mind that there were already many other coffee brands in China.

The engagement required that we travelled to Beijing and Shanghai, as well as a number of regional centres conducting on the ground coffee sampling as well as making use of our network to identify locations; coffee pricing at both wholesale and retail; and building a strategic plan for initial entry.

M!ndMeta worked with local market research companies to deliver the physical sampling results, used our own Consultants to formulate pricing strategies, identify locations for a retail store and wholesale business; and delivered the strategic plan that included partnering strategies, marketing and branding strategies. In Sept 2005, M!ndMeta finalised a leasing agreement for the Australian company, DownUnder Coffee.
