We are not property specialists but our presence in Shanghai has enabled us to at least feel the pulse of this city's extraordinary property boom. Underpinning the property sector is the influx of speculative funds and US dollar hedging which we expect to continue unabated for the foreseeable future.
"Lifestyle" used to be one of those New Age euphemisms for the "good life". Increasingly, it has taken on marketing connections and usually refers to that range of commodities and services which enable the individual to live a fuller life, providing a level of comfort and pleasure in our lives above that required for simple survival. Hence the rubic "lifestyle" is now widely used to refer to anything above the ordinary in travel, dining, luxury goods, property etc, etc. 
Despite the current turmoil, China’s continued economic boom is driving markets beyond most expectations. The current valuations of companies on the Shanghai and Shenzhen stock exchanges, with the 50% correction and sporadic shocks, means that opportunities abound for the medium to longer term investment. 
Recently China decided to establish the “.cn” domain identity, and in the short time since then over 200 million domain names have been registered under this TLD. The astonishing pace of acceptance and use of the web and internet technologies generally means that companies operating in this sector can no longer ignore the Chinese market. Newsletter
